National Assembly passes the "Oath of the tennis court"
Due to the small tax payments and large spending on wars, France is broke.
After walking out of the tax meeting with all three estates, the third estate walks out and create a group called "National Assembly"
Declaration of rights
The third estate, or National Assembly passes the oath of the tennis court as more of a symbol to being against the monarch system.
King Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette are beheaded
The angry people of the third estate attacked a jail, the Bastille, on July 14th and set free of all the prisoners. The people of France celebrate this day yearly on July 14th. There were crowds of people, many more then the look.
The deceleration was meant to change the government and its laws. Once the King fled and the National Assembly took over, using this to create new laws.
After an attempt to flee France, Louis XVI went to trial for treason and was soon after beheaded. As for his wife, Marie Antoinette, because she had also been accused of treason.
