"The 'at' sound,"
The Warden comes to see the boys after the fight. Stanley and Zero's deal is figured out. The boys, counselors, the Warden, and Mr. Sir start to make fun of Zero.
"Here, take it, Zero. It's all you'll ever be good for."
The Warden quizzes Zero, and he doesn't know much yet. The group claims Zero will never know anything. Zero gets very frustrated and upset.
Stanley figures out that the Warden is looking for something. The boys aren't digging for character, they're are digging for treasure. Stanley questions the Warden, which isn't a good idea.
The Warden answers Stanley but lies to him. Warden offends Zero some more before Mr. Pendanski joins in. Zero gets more mad every time. Grabbing the shovel, looking at it in disgust.
Zero takes his shovel and smashes the blade against Mr. Pendanski's face. Mr. Sir draws his gun and points it at Zero. The shovel causing Mr. Pendanski to fall on the ground.
Zero takes the shovel and leaves camp. Stunned, everyone at camp goes back to the tents pretending nothing happened. Counselors watch over campers while standing in astonishment over Zero's outburst. Everyone thought that Zero liked digging holes.
