Good day, ABM- B1 for today's topic I will discuss CELL CYCLE.
Most of a cell's lifetime is spent growing. This cycle of growth and division is called CELL CYCLE,
Interphase occurs in 3 distinct stages:G1 phase (first gap)- the cell undergoes intense growth. S phase (synthesis)- the cell makes a precise copy of the DNA molecule in each of its chromosomes.G2 phase- the cell continues to grow and begins to make preparation for cell division.
The cell has already copied its DNA during interphase, so the chromosomes in the nucleus each have two connected copies, known as sister chromatids. At this moment, the chromosomes are difficult to see.
PROPHASE
Good day, ABM- B1 for today's topic I will discuss CELL CYCLE.
Most of a cell's lifetime is spent growing. This cycle of growth and division is called CELL CYCLE,
The earliest stage of mitosis is known as the prophase. The mitotic spindle begins to form when the chromosomes begin to condense. The nucleolus, which produces ribosomes and is a component of the nucleus, vanishes. The chromosomes have completed their condensing process and are now compact. The nuclear envelope then breaks down, allowing the chromosomes to be released.
METAPHASE
Good day, ABM- B1 for today's topic I will discuss CELL CYCLE.
Most of a cell's lifetime is spent growing. This cycle of growth and division is called CELL CYCLE,
The spindle has grabbed all of the chromosomes and lined them up in the center of the cell, ready to divide, during metaphase. Each chromosome's two kinetochores should be linked to microtubules at opposite spindle poles.
ANAPHASE
Good day, ABM- B1 for today's topic I will discuss CELL CYCLE.
Most of a cell's lifetime is spent growing. This cycle of growth and division is called CELL CYCLE,
The sister chromatids split from each other and are pulled to opposing ends of the cell during anaphase. The sister chromatids' protein bond is broken down, allowing them to split.
TELOPHASE
Good day, ABM- B1 for today's topic I will discuss CELL CYCLE.
Most of a cell's lifetime is spent growing. This cycle of growth and division is called CELL CYCLE,
As cytokinesis occurs during telophase, the cell is virtually finished dividing and begins to re-establish its usual architecture. The mitotic spindle is disassembled into its constituent parts. Each set of chromosomes produces two new nuclei. Nucleoli and nuclear membranes return.
CYTOKINESIS
Good day, ABM- B1 for today's topic I will discuss CELL CYCLE.
Most of a cell's lifetime is spent growing. This cycle of growth and division is called CELL CYCLE,
The division of cytoplasm to generate two new cells, known as cytokinesis, occurs at the same time as the last phases of mitosis. Depending on the cell, it can begin in either anaphase or telophase and stop shortly after telophase.
