  • We are raising revenue again!
  • King George III sent soldiers to enforce the Proclamation of 1763 and to keep peace. Although, colonists became angry because they believed the soldiers were there to send control and not protect them.
  • Boston Massacre 1770
  • We're only here for peace!
  • An early tax raised revenue from colonists to pay the French and Indian War debt. They felt that they had no voice in making decisions from this.
  • Boston Tea Party 1773
  • Only tea from England!
  • That's so unfair!
  • An indirect tax was raised on colonists. People grew angry because they recognized the tax from parliament.
