  • Evidence 1: Mr. Goodman tried starting his car but it wouldn´t start. He walked away and it started by itself. The residents on maple street thought he was a monster. 
  • Theme: Blaming others and trying to find a scapegot can led to violence. 
  • Evidence 2: They saw a black shadow was walking towards them. Charli grabbed the gun and shot the shadow. They walk towards it and noticed it was Pete Van Horn. 
  • Evidence 3: Charlie said he knew who the monster was. He said it is Tommy because he knew all about the monsters .
  • The theme of " The Mosters Are Due on Maple Street"  is that Blaming others and trying to fins a scapegoat can lead to violence. One piece of evidence that supports this theme is when Mr. Goodman tried starting his car and when he walked away it started by itself.  All the residents on Maple street thought he was the monster . This evidence shows that they want to find a scapegoat. Another piece of evidence is when they saw a black shawdow coming toards them. Charlie grabbed the gun and shot the shawdow. They all walked toward the sawdow and they notced it was Pete Van Horn . This piece of evidence supports that trying to find a scapegoat can lead to violence. The third piece of evidence is when Charlie blamed Tommy for being the Monster because he kenw all about the aileen. This piece of evidence shows that thier tryig to find a scapegoat . These three pieces of evidence supports why the theme is blaming others and trying to find a scapegoat can lead to violence.
