- Odysseus and his crew sailed to sea and had found an island and a cave where a Cyclops lives.
- Offering The Cyclops Wine
- Let's blind the cyclops
- They had brought wine and other things in the cave. His crew wanted to take the food and sheep but he refused. Then the Cyclops came back.
- Blinding The Cyclops
- Nobody, my friends, is trying to kill me by violence or treachery
- The Cyclops ate some of Odysseus’s men and the rest of them got trapped.
- Escape
- My fine ram, why leave the cave like this last of the flock? You have never lagged behind before
- He thought of making the Cyclops fall asleep with the wine then he sharpened the wood to stab the Cyclops.
- Odysseus was clever, telling his name as Nobody; they then had blinded the Cyclops after making him fall asleep. His friends heard his calls but didn't seem to think anyone was hurting him.
- Odysseus escaped by tying him and his men under the belly of the sheep.
