  • First Amendment
  • Don't worry John. According to the Constitution, Congress isn't allowed to do that. 
  • Dad, today at school a kid named Andrew said that his dad was apart of Congress and that they were going to make a law forbidding  us from saying what we want.
  • Second Amendment
  • Miss Johnson, my dad owns a gun. He says it's for emergencies. Is it legal to have a gun in my house?
  • Yes, Thomas. As long as your father has the paperwork and keeps it safe, he is allowed to own a gun.
  • Third Amendment
  • Young man! You must let me in your home at once!
  • Sorry, sir. According to the new Constitution, I don't have to let you in if you are not welcome.
  • Congress can’t make any laws that forbids you of your rights.
  • Fourth Amendment
  • And according to the new Constitution, I can refuse. So, I refuse to be searched and have my privacy invaded.
  • Halt! According to witnesses, you have been accused of theft! I must search you!
  • We have the right to have a militia and the right to bear arms that can’t be broken.
  • Fifth Amendment
  •  I call to the stand, John Merges.
  • Objection! Your honor, that goes against the Constitution!
  • Soldier’s can not take shelter in any house when a war is going on. They can only take shelter in someone’s house with their permission and in an orderly manner.
  • Sixth Amendment
  • To be able to win this case, you must read what the Constitution allows you to do.
  • Okay! I will!
  • When people are being searched unreasonably, they have the right to refuse.
  • No one should be accused of the same crime or have their life or limb put in jeopardy twice. They also can’t be called as a witness against themselves in court.
  • The prosecution is right, Meyers. You are not allowed to call him up.
  • People have the right to a fast and public trial by an impartial jury, to be informed why they were accused of this crime, to be confronted with witnesses that are going against them, to have a required process to gain witnesses in their favor, and to have the Assistance of Counsel (the Sixth Amendment) for their defense.
