yeah I learned in class that glycolysis uses only glucose to make ATP and pyruvate which can help me to either create more ATP with arobic respiration or make Lactate or Ethanol in the anaerobic pathway
Yo man this is all possible because my fast twitch muscles and anaerobic pathway. But if this lasts any longer i'm gonna need more than just my phosphocreatine
But also ATP is being made from ADP, NAD+ is made into NADH, and FAD+ is made in to FADH2 in the Arobic pathway
But where does all of this occur and what processes do these high energy molecules come from?
The third step is the ETC or Electron Transport Chain during this process uses Electrons and hydrogen ions to create water, FAD, NAD+, and 34 ATP. But whats cool about the ATP production is that because there is an enzyme called ATP synthase which when hydrogen ions pass through the channel it makes the ADP into ATP
The second step known as the krebs cycle takes the acetyl CoA and turns that into ATP, CO2, NADH and FADH2. The acetyl CoA is actually made from the pyruvate and an enzyme called
So to answer you First question Glycolysis which is what makes the Pyruvic Acid and 2 ATP happens in the Cytoplasm of the cell.
But where does all of these processes occur?
So I already said that glycolysis happens in the cytoplasm of the cell. The Krebs cycle happens in the mitochodrial matrix and the ETC happens in the inner membrane, inner membrane space and the matrix or the mitochondria
Well isn't that cool but whats the chemical formula for what goes in and then what comes out?
C6H12O6 + 6O2 → 6CO2 + 6H2O + 38 ATP is the chemical formula for Cellular Respiration
