Hmm... I have a work trip this week and I don't want to have to pay too much when i drive my new car
OK well you had Mr Neild in algebra so why don't you just write out an equation for it?
Your right, I could just write out an equation for it but I don't think I really remember how to do it.
Great idea I will do that tomorrow morning!
So why don't you go ask Mr. Neild tomorrow for some help before you leave!!!
Hi, I have a question to ask about what we learned in 8th grade. I need to Know how much gas will cost when i go 1000 km and possibly even 2000km. I figured i could write a linear equation but i don't remember how to exactly.
Ok thank you I will do that.
Well remember all you have to do it find the x and y in the problem and fill them in with the slope and y intercept. So For gas around here, if you pay $366 for gas it will take you 300km. So you say you need to drive 1000km or 2000km just plug them into the equation.
OK so if i go 1000km it will cost me $450 and 2000km will cost me $570. So i know for every 25km it cost me $3. I now also know that it will still cost me $330 to go 0km. And for it to cost me $0 i will have to travel -2,750km.
Hey, did you get everything worked out for your work trip?
