Storyboard Text

  • Really Jack? Cats are nice. I love them and I have one at home.
  • Sorry, I didn't know you liked cats. Didn't know you have one.
  • I hate cats!
  • Yes, more poetry. You should write about your dog, Sky.
  • Are you ready for more poetry this year?
  • More poetry?
  • No, I think the words flew out of my head from last year.
  • But, no.  Maybe I could write about a mean cat.
  • Do you think you could write about alliteration and onomatopoeia?
  • Yes! Write about that!
  • Yes, I think. Alliteration is like chocolate chalk, and the other one is like boom or pop!
  • This year, Jack had Miss Stretchberry again. He told her he hated cats, but she liked them.
  • Is this good, Miss Stretchberry?
  • So much depends upon a creeping cat crouched in a tree beside the yellow bus stop.
  • Miss Stretchberry asked if Jack should do more poetry. He was surprised, but agreed.
  • Yay! I got a cat!
  • Miss Stetchberry  asked for Jack to write about alliteration and onomatopoeia, and he was excited, and agreed.
  • Jack wrote lots of poems, and started to like poetry. He started to like cats more and more, too.
  • Jack was so excited! For Christmas, he got a cat. He couldn't believe he hated cats at the beginning of the year. He named his cat Skitter Mckitter.
  • One day, Skitter Mckitter ran away, and Jack was very sad.
