In chapter 17, Molly and her owner (CJ) ran away from home. They drove for many hours, and stayed near a beach, and at night would sleep in their car.
While they were sleeping in the car, in the middle of thenight, something woke Molly up. It was a man in the shadows with a huge bag behind his back. The man wentaway for just a minute, and he came back in front of the door. The man put his hands up against the window as if he was trying to get inside.
Molly snarled at the man, and the man laughed back. CJ yelled out, "Go away!" So the man went away. CJ was so proud of Molly for taking care of her. But the man was not done yet, he came back again with a stick, Molly never knew that sticks could be a bad thing.
After that really weird night, Molly and CJ went to a restaurant and got some breakfast. But this guy named Bart Simpson stopped her before she paid for anything, and asked her if she was hungry or not. But she kindly said, "No." But the guy knew that she was hungry. But she said "No." Again, and Bart wandered off.
After the breakfast, they went to the beach and had lots of fun by playing tag and catch. They were all having lots of fun but had to go back soon. So soon enough after that they came back to their car.
When Molly and CJ got back, there were police cars that have surrounded her car, and even worse, all of her car windows were all broken. But, CJ was the one who got arrested because, her parents have reported her as a missing child. Meanwhile, Molly was taken to an Animal Control Center.
