One crisp fall morning two twins, still morning the loss of their parents, sa goodbye to their caretaker, to leave for there uncles house. Madeline was in tears. In the background, the Uncles groundskeeper waits for them.
We will miss you dearly.
Goodbye Mrs. Baker
When they arrive at the fortress, the twins are in shock at the large size. But Adeline won't stop to to admire the haunted fortress, instead, she insists on going straight to bed. Madeline wants to explore the endless hallways and rooms.
My feet hurt and I am dead tired, I need rest.
It is huge!!!
Well, girls here it is. Your Uncles place. Isn´t it wonderful?
Of course girls follow me.
The girls wake the next morning to find a bloody stuffed bear lying in between them. They are in dead shock at first but then the bear opens up to them about why they've been seeing toys lining the halls. They are then called to breakfast by Tony where they will meet Richard, there Uncle.
It wasn't there when we went to bed last night. I'm sure T-t-ony put it there.
"Don't be frightful girls. I am just one of many dead children in this abandoned school that has been shamed to fit into toys
What's that, that thing, that be-be-bear
The girls are on a mission to find more dead kids in order to solve the mystery of what really happened so many years ago. They wander down a spiraling staircase and into a frozen chamber where a plastic mermaid waits. They are then led to a moonpool where the mystery starts to unravel itself.
Addie, I dont think our Uncle wants us down here.
Shhhhhh. We're looking for more toys or kids or whatever they are.
Well, then girls you've come to the right place. Follow me, I want to show you the moonpool.
One night the girls are led into a dark room with only a single mirror by two evil twins there Uncle has possessed. Immediately Maddie recognizes a demon like version of her mother in the mirror. Adeline is worried. Suddenly a cracked voice from the mirror starts to possess Madeline and suck her into the mirror
Maddie? What's happening to your face?
Sorry, dear Adeline, Madeline's coming with me. (evil laugh)
Don't worry yourselves. They'll be back soon, but not as humans.
Madeline was now completely one with the mirror, and there was nothing Addie could do. So she sobbed until there was nothing left to cry over, she was left alone to die on the tiled floor. The toys came rushing in, wondering what had happened. they all were in misery over the sad losses. Finally, Richard came in, a scowl on his face.
