  • What are the characteristics of a true friendship?
  • Do you want  me to leave George, i'll leave.
  • Don't leave Lennie.
  • GOD DAMMIT LENNIE!
  • What is an individuals dutys to others.
  • He ain't no cuckoo, hes dunb as hell but he aint no crazy
  • What is empathy?.
  • “Look, Candy. This old’ dog just’ suffers himself all the time. If you was to take him out and shoot him right in the back of the head”
  • This scene shows how George was getting mad at Lennie because of the fact that Lennie came back with a dead mouse he found to be his pet when he got back from getting fire wood. this shows friendship because he doesn't want lennie to be hurt when he leaves so he tells him to stay because George needs Lennie to help him out, and George is a good friend. 
  • This shows how this is a duty to other by George sticking up for him because Lennie is a crazy or a cuckoo. Lennie isn't a bad person he just dosen't think right, and George wants to stick up for him because  Lennie didn't do anything worng in which  shouldnt be made fun of, nor picked on.
  • This part of the story shows empathy because of the fact that candy has had his dog for so long, Slim felt since this dog is so old the facct that it suffers, Slim feels that that dog shouldn't suffer anymore.
