"It was many a year ago, In a kingdom by the sea, That a maiden there lived whom you may know by the name of Annabel Lee;... (Lines 1-4)

(Sobbing )
This poem starts with the narrator introducing Annabel Lee "in a kingdom by the sea"(line 2)This line insinuates that she is either a princess or a queen or of some great decent.
Oh Please! Oh Please! Don't take my Annabel Lee!
The Narrator then confesses his love for Annabel Lee and how it is not just your average love. He is speaking in past tense as if something has happened.
In the poem the narrator describes the love of his life passion away by saying "So that her highborn kinsmen came And bore her away from me, To shut her up in a sepulcher." ( Lines 16-18)
I Miss my Annabel Lee(Snore)
Next the narrator describes the perfection of their love by saying, " The angels, not half so happy in heaven Went envying her and me." (Lines 21-22) This line shows that the narrator believed that their love was so strong the angles came and stole her from him.
Next the narrator declares that nothing can stop his love for Annabel even death itself. "And neither the angles in the Heaven above Nor the demons down under the sea can ever dissever mob soul from the soul of the beautiful Annabel Lee" (lines 27-33)
Finally the narrator wraps the story up by saying "I feel the bright eyes of the beautiful Annabel Lee"(Lines 37 and 38). This line shows that the narrator believes she is watching over him as he sleeps outside of her sepulcher..
