- Here she is, Agememnon! She came as soon as I called her.
- I have no words to say.. just tears... mother help me!
- Iphigenia, why are you crying? Why can't you look at my face? Why are you so sad?
- Are you going to kill our daughter?
- Agamemnon, my love, I want you to respond to this question as honestly as you can.
- Wow... What a ridiculous question to ask! Why would you ask that?
- Yes, what is it?
- Answer my question!
- Cripes! It seems as though my plan has been leaked!
- I knew it! The fact you didn't deny my question immediately shows it's true!
- It would have only been more shameful to lie...
- Immediately after Agamemnon calls for his daughter's presence, Iphigenia comes along with Orestes to meet him. Iphigenia enters the room sobbing with deep emotion because she knows of her father's plot. With her daughter by her side, Queen Clytemnestra begins questioning.
- What is wrong with you? You would be willing to kill our daughter to win a war? After her sacrifice, where will your joy go? Do you think your baby son Orestes wil ever respect you? Do NOT commit this sin. Repent!
- Go to the servant, Orestes. I need to speak with my father.
- Clytemnestra decides to question her husband about his master plot. When she asks her husband about what evil thing he plans to do with his daughter, King Agamemnon becomes furious!
- Dad, please do not kill me. I have just started my life, and I truly love it. Please, find it in the depths of your heart to hold back and save me. Even little Orestes is begging for my life to be spared!
- Since King Agamemnon refuses to directly answer his wife's question, it makes it clear that he does have a diabolical plan to sacrifice his own daughter to allow the Greek fleet to sail.
- Come on Agamemnon. Save our daughter!
- Have mercy Agememnon, have mercy...
