  • The Boston Massacre
  • The Quartering Act was a law passed by Parliament.It stated that the Colonists had to provide everything a person needs to live. Examples were: food, water, shelter, a bed, and washed uniforms.
  • The Boston Tea Party
  • The Stamp Act was also a law passed by Parliament.It stated that the Colonists had to pay taxes. The tax money then went to the king who would pay for things for the soldiers.The Colonists got very angry and sometimes even attacked the tax collectors and even their homes.
  • The Intolerable Acts
  • The Boston Massacre started when a soldier was guarding a building.Suddenly, a Colonist started to throw things at the soldier. When backup arrived, the Chief said not to fire.One soldier misheard the command and fired into the crowd of colonists.Five Colonists were killed and many more were injured.

  • The Boston Tea Party was when the Colonists got very angry and stopped buying British tea. To save a famous tea company, the British King said it was the only tea company that was allowed to sell the colonists tea.The Colonists were very angry and decided to throw more than 90,000 pounds of the British tea into the sea.They also dressed as Native Americans.
  • The Intolerable Acts were passed by Parliament because the king was very angry.Parliament and the King decided to punish the Colonists.To do this, they passed several new laws that made the Colonists very angry but they had no power to do anything except be mad.
  • I hate these new acts that the King is making.
