In Sleepy Hollow by Washington Irving, a young greedy schoolteacher named Ichabod loves a rich, beautiful girl named Katrina.
There is also Brom Bone that also likes Katrina and he is jealous that Ichabod likes Katrina too.
Then they went to Katrina's house to celebrate and eat food and dance but, Brom Bone is there spying on them and trying to get Ichabod out of there.
Then Brom tells a scary song about the Headless Horseman and that scares Ichabod because in the song it says be careful when going home on Holloween night or the Headless Horseman is going to chase you.
When Ichabod is going home, he hears noises like laughing, branch scratching, wooing, and leaf rustling in the forest.
Then when Ichabod looks behind him, he sees the Headless Horseman laughing behind him chasing him with a pumpkin and a sword but, Ichabod is almost home, the Headless Horseman throws his flaming pumpkin at him and it hit him. But, in the morning all you can see is pumpkin bits and Ichabod's hat but no traces of Ichabod but rumors say that he married someone else somewhere not in Sleepy Hollow and Brom got to marry Katrina.
