- I am the overseer on this plantation.
- This is our house
- This is the second in command on the plantation, the overseer.
- This is an African slaves house.This house is built by hand also by the weak African slaves.
- This is where a slave would be hung if they broke any plantation laws. Families and friends were also separated here, this is where they decided if they shall be hung or separated also the owners/overseers can punish them by whipping them everyday for a year or putting them in shackles.
- This is where the slaves held church there was normally 100 to 250 slaves around here depending on how many Africans were on the plantations they would sing and dance also they would play songs and games.
- This is the courthouse of the plantation where the slaves were taken when they have just been bought.this is where they are examined and checked for valuables or items.
- This is the barn where all the animals of the plantation farm are kept the overseers will use these animals to get around the farm and look for naughty slaves, the overseers were grumpy people that could whip you if you tried to have a conversation with them. They normally only speak to other overseers.
