  • From 1337 to 1453 the Hundred Years' War went on between the French and English over control of France. Soon Edward III of England took over the French throne. England won the battles, so the French needed someone to help lead them. 
  • Lead the French army to victory... help them
  • Joan of Arc was a peasant girl in Medieval Times. She started to hear God's voice.
  • Go now! Help the army. Go 
  • Yes Yes go help. Go talk to the king Charles VII!
  • She also had visions of her helping the French Army. Angels came and told her to help. 
  • I should help...
  • Joan of Arc went to the king and told him of her visions. She said she can help lead the army to victory. The king was not sure but agreed. But because she was a girl she would have to dress up as a boy. 
  • hmm...
  • I can help.
  • She helped the French Army win many battles. 
  • Sadly Joan of Arc was captured by the English because they figured out she was a girl. She was killed but her help contributed to the French winning overall in the 100 years war.
