  • What did you do in the forest?
  • We did dance, uncle, and when you leaped out of the bush so suddenly, betty was frightened and then she fainted. And there's the whole of it.
  • Aye a dress! and I thought I saw - someone naked running through the trees
  • A dress?
  • Tituba, Betty, and Abigail are dancing in the forest.
  • Tituba knows how to speak to the dead, Mr. Parris.
  • Then you were conjuring spirits last night.
  • Not I, sir- Tituba and Ruth.
  • Abigail is lying to Parris about her and the girls attempting to summon spirits by dancing around the fire.
  • He knows Tituba conjured Ruth's sisters to come out of the grave.
  • He saw you naked.
  • ...The whole country's talkin witchcraft! They'll be calling us witches, abby!
  • (pointing at Mary) She means to tell, I know it.
  • (pulling her away from the window). I told him everything; he knows now, he knows everything we--
  • Parris continues to press Abigail about what he saw in the forest.
  • You drank blood, Abby! You didn't tell him that! You drank a charm to kill John Proctor's wife!
  • More is revealed about the girls dancing in the forest, Abigail looks to lay blame on everyone who was their but claim innocence for herself.
  • With everyone gone, Abigail, Mercy, and Mary Warren discuss what Parris has figured out and reveals the truth in secret.
  • The girls, attempting to wake Betty, succeed and she darts for the window, attempting to fly away. Betty reveals more secrets that Abigail has been holding.
