  • Be gone with this tea!

  • Yes I can, because the Coercive Acts say soldiers can stay in any colonial buildings

  • We must decide what to do next for our colonies. We hate the Parliament!

  • The Tea Act was passed in 1773 taxing all tea products. Soon afterwards, the Boston Tea Party took place, in which citizens dressed up as Native Americans and threw 1 million dollars worth of tea into the Boston Harbor.
  • The Intolerable Acts of 1774 closed Boston Harbor, ended town meetings, and the Quartering Acts were part of it, which allowed troops to be housed in colonial buildings.
  • The First Continental Congress was formed after the Intolerable Acts were passed to discuss between the colonies what to do next. It was the first government within the colonies not run by the British parliament. A delegate was their for each colony except Georgia.
