- Brady reflects on what has happened in his past. He implies that the Corsica river is a major problem in the story. He thought about only if he said something, he would of kept Ben alive. This is the Exposition because he was thinking about Ben and this is how the story started. He is actually not living the actual story, it was just Brady reflecting on all of his actions.
- Falling Action
- Guilty guilty guilty
- Brady was at Mrs. DiAngelos House and he found his dad's drill near the boathouse. Brady was in shock when he saw it because it had red sawdust on it and he instantly thought it was JT and Digger. This is the rising action because if he did not find the drill, he would of never found out it was his idea to do this in the first place.
- Resolution
- Brady confronts J.T. and Digger about the drill. Digger tells Brady not to say anything or all of them go to jail. Brady caunters that by saying that he will not be able to forget it because if Digger lost his brother or sister, he will not be able to simply forget it. This is the climax because this is where brady felt a wave of guilt because he was the one who came up with the idea.
- Theme
- J.T. and Digger go to court to pled their case. They are found guilty and sent to a forestry camp for juveniles. They reacted by saying nothing, they just stood there in shock. This the falling action because this lead to them being exposed in front of the judge and they learned their lesson.

- The DiAngelos put their house up for sale. Brady and his dad are building a boat. The DiAngelo's put up their house for sale because they can't stay there because they have too many bad memories there. This is the resolution because the Diangelos is just leaving the problem, and if they are not there anymore, there is no more need to fight for them anymore.

- The theme of the Red Kayak is guilt can be painful. When Brady realized it was his idea, he instantly felt a wave of guilt that stayed with him the rest of the story.
- The theme is guilt can be painful. Just look at Brady. (I wonder if tiny tim is ok)
