President Lincohn did not want to give up Fort Sumter and was only able to to send supplies. He notified South Carolina so that he wasn't attacked.
It's like he's BEGGING for war!!
On April 12, 1861, Confederate forces fired at Fort Sumter.
We're forced to secede.
On April 15, 1861, Lincohn asked for all states to have a militia prepared. This request caused four states to join the Confederacy.
On April 19th and 27th of 1861, Lincohn called blockades on Southern Forts. This was seen as an act of aggression for war towards the Confederate forces.
