  • Hey Sonny! Don't look so glum. This work is great compared to what our ancestors had to do.
  • let me tell you a story...
  • A long time ago, after that awful Civil War between the states, President Lincoln approved and passed the 13th amendment to the constitution. This amazing document was made to abolish all slavery in the states forever.
  • This document changed history and impacted so many lives! Could you imagine what the world would be like without the first african americans in space,  or Frank Greene being the first to create one of the first advanced computers?
  • Mississippi was the one state that was very reluctant to agree to the 13th amendment. Did you know they didn't ratify the 13th ammendment until the year 2013!
  • This one amendment showed everyone that black people were really no different than white people, and it brought everyone together.
  • Be warned though Boy... Always follow the law... People can still take away your freedom as a punishment. You would be stuck in the awful torment of our anscestors.
  • Sure thing! Staying out of trouble is easy.
