In the book Hannah does not want to go to the seder a religious dinner that is really important to the jewish culture. She does not care about her religion and her traditions they practice. Instead Hannah wants to go to her friends house and paint Easter Eggs.
Hannah is now noticing how bad she was at the dinner and she now understands why they do this and she is guilty for being bad. She goes back in time and sees and experiences what went on during the holocaust. She is getting a haircut by a prisoner and she got a tattoo her number of a jew she was.
At the end she realized that the Holocaust was an important event in history and she was sorry that she treated the Seder like it was nothing to her and the Jewish Culture. She started to respect the jewish culture
