Storyboard Text

  • Megan O'Connell Scrooge refuses to enjoy Christmas
  • Merry Christmas!
  • Why are you so merry?  Bah-Humbug!
  • Marley visits Scrooge
  •  Jacob Marley?
  • Yes Ebenezer!
  • The ghost of Christmas past
  • Who are you?!
  • I am a ghost, here to show you your past.
  • When Fred wishes Scrooge a Merry Christmas, Scrooge asks his nephew what right he has to be merry. Fred ignores his bad attitude and invites him to dinner. After that Scrooge is in a bad mood, when Bob Cratchit asks Scrooge for the day of Christmas off from work, Scrooge gives Bob a hard time, but in the end lets him have the day off. This shows Scrooge does not understand why everyone enjoys Christmas and loves to celebrate it, but knows he should let him have the day off.
  • The ghost of Christmas present
  • When Jacob Marley's ghost appears in Scrooge's house, and tells Scrooge he can change his ways and not end up like him. Scrooge refuses to believe him and change his ways, so Marley tells Scrooge three ghosts will visit him that night, each at certain times.  Scrooge is afraid and checks everywhere to make sure no more ghosts were in his house at the time.
  • The ghost of Christmas  Future
  • Why? Ghost please bring me home!
  • When the ghost of Christmas Past arrives in Scrooge's house, and takes Scrooge through his past, Scrooge thinks he is dreaming. Scrooge's past makes him very sad, he had a very rough past. That included, his sister, Fan the one who understood him, dying, and Belle releasing him. You can tell Scrooge's painful past influenced his present life.
  • Scrooge changes his ways
  • Well I am going to have to raise your paycheck!!
  • When the ghost of Christmas present shows him Bob Cratchit and his family, Scrooge starts to understand the true meaning of Christmas. He realizes money has nothing to do with happiness on Christmas, it has to do with who you are with. He now understands why his nephew, Fred, invited him to dinner.
  • They cannot afford treatment and Tiny Tim may die.
  • Oh No!
  • When the ghost of Christmas Future Shows Scrooge that if he does not change his ways, a Christmas in the very near future, he will be dead. Scrooge could not believe this. He did not want to die so soon, he knew he must change his ways, fast. He did not want dying soon to be his fate. He begged and pleaded at the ghost to return him to his home.
  • Ebenezer Scrooge
  • When the ghost of Christmas future brings Scrooge back home, he immediately started to change his ways. He donated lots of money to charity and people who needed it. He gave the Cratchits a nice, big goose to feast on, and raised Bob's paycheck. He also ended up going to his nephews party. Scrooge was glad he saw the ghosts, he probably never would have changed his ways, but the ghosts persuaded him to and he is glad they did.
  • Sorry I am late sir.
