The conflict is between the Wallaces and the Logans. The conflict is that the Wallace store, for one has bad influence on young children, but the store also overprices the things colored folks’ buy.

The conflict is between Little Man and himself. The conflict is that Little Man doesn’t understand why he is in this distress, and feels he doesn’t deserve the cruel things done to him. Especially getting splashed by the morning bus.

The conflict is between Papa and society. The conflict is that Papa has to work many times harder than white folks, just to have his family living a regular life. He must work a farm, plus work on the railroad to keep his family under a roof and fed.

The resolution of this conflict, is Mama, (The mother of the family) decides to no longer shop at the Wallace store, and shops at a different store, even though it’s farther.
The resolution of this conflict is that the Logan children team up to create a ditch for the school bus to fall in, to get revenge on the folks that would splash them everyday.
The resolution is now that they have Mr. Morrison to take care, he now can help as a farm hand, which can help Papa have time to see his family more, like white folks.
