  • During World War 2
  • The Cold War was not a war in the physical sense. The Cold War was against Capitalism and Communism. There were actual wars during this time but the Cold War itself was not.
  • During the Cold War, a way the US tried fighting against the Soviets was Containment.  Containment was used to stop the spread of communism between the allied states. 
  • During the time of the Cold War, there was an Atomic Age. It was an arms race the Us and the Soviets had gone head to head to build the worst weapon. 
  • In the US there were also several Red Scares. That means that the government believed that there were people spreading  communism and many people were killed because of the Red Scares.
  • When the Cold War ended it was because the Iron Curtain came down it emidiatly ended.
