"I don't like this place, George. This ain't no good place. I wanna get outa here...Le's go, George. Le's get outa here. It's mean here."
"What the h*ll you laughin' at?"
"Make 'um let me alone, George."
"Get him, Lennie. Don't let him do it.""Get 'im Lennie!"
When we first met Curley, I thought he was insecure. No person that was comfortable with themselves would feel the need to prove themselves by attacking people solely based on height. Curley makes George and Lennie want to leave, as shown in this panel.
"Look Lennie. You try to keep away from him, will you? Don't never speak to him. Ifhe comes in here you move clear to the other side of the room."
I believed Curley picked a fight with Lennie because he thought he was being mocked, and he had to show the others not to mock him.
George tells Lennie to hit Curley back if he initiates a fight. I think this would be good advice if Lennie knew how to control his strength alone. However, since he can't, it makes Lennie dangerous, and could get him into trouble in the future.
