Spanish Armada Storyboard
This storyboard does not have a description.
England was a Protestant nation ruled by Queen Elizabeth I.
Spain, on the other hand, was a Catholic nation led by King Philip II.
Mary Queen of Scots, Elizabeth's Catholic cousin, plotted to kill her, so Elizabeth was forced to execute her before anything happened.
Because Elizabeth killed a Catholic, Philip was very angry and decided to invade England. This began the Spanish Armada.
Spanish ships faced very harsh storms as they sailed around England, causing many people to die.
English ships were much lighter and faster than the Spanish ones. The English also had cannons, which quickly destroyed the Spanish ships.
