  • Copying another person's work without giving cedit is considered stealing and is a serious offense. It can result in bad grades and punishment.
  • I didn't realize how important giving credit is. I should go ask if I redo the paper!
  • Plagiarism is a form of stealing and is punishable by the failure of your work. Always remember to cite your text or don't copy directly at all.
  • A small newspaper is being recalled from my stand for copyright infringement. What is copyright, though?
  • Copyright is a law that protects a person's work. The newspaper here used an image on the front page that the publisher didn't have access to.
  • You must have permission to use any images, audio, or artwork that is protected by copyright. Certain works, like ones in the public domain, are free to use, though.
