Once upon a time, there were two twin baby boys born to a human princess and the god of war, Mars. Their names were Romulus and Remus.
Having the boys be born to a princess, the local king found out very soon. He ordered the princess to leave the boys in a basket on the Tiber River because he was frightened that one day, Romulus and Remus would overthrow him and take his throne.
The princess did as she was told, for fear of being prosecuted. She hoped that the boys would be safe.
A little ways down the river, a wolf found the boys were found by a she-wolf.
The wolf cared for them and protected them.
One day, a shepard found the boys when the wolf was away hunting. He took them home and raised them until they were old enough to care for themselves.
