My life is terrible. I'm poor, have no job, and my mother and sisters are starving. What can I do?
Don't worry young man. The Civilian Conservation Corporation, created in 1933, can help you. We will give you a job firefighting or plating trees so you can get money to your poor family.
We've been planting trees, fighting forest fires, stopping soil erosion, and preserve wildlife habitats, and we get paid $30 a month to send to our families.
The CCC is amazing! It is helping me and 300,000 other young men get jobs and send money home to our families!
From 1933 to 1942, the CCC helped many younger men like me find work to make their way out of poverty. Thanks to this amazing program, I made it out of the Great Depression and have a family and home of my own.
