  • Introduction
  • Let's talk about the Civil War
  • The Civil War?....
  • Cause of the War
  • What's that blue thing on your face.
  • The Civil War was mostly caused because of slavery some people wanted it and some people wanted to end it.
  • Something called crona.
  • Start of the War
  • It started on April 12, 1861 - May 9, 1865, and the Confederate soldiers fired on fort Sumter.
  • Let me take ya'll back, the Civil War was started because the people of the North and South couldn't come to a agreement. The Civil War wouldn't have started if the North and the South didn't disagree. Slavery was a big deal during this time, and it was a sad time because of the way that some people were getting treated.
  • Union War Efforts
  • The Civil War started because of people's differences, some agreed with slavery and some didn't. Slavery was a sad time, a lot of people didn't agree with slavery and they wanted to end it. On the other hand they had people fighting for slavery not to end.
  • Confederacy War Efforts
  • The confederacy had to burn all of their supplies.
  • The Civil War started April 9, 1861 and the Confederate soldiers fired on fort Sumter. Maybe about 34 hours later probable less the Union surrendered. When the Confederate soldiers fired on Fort Sumter and when the Union surrendered that marked the first day of the Civil War.
  • Legacy of the War
  • Abraham Lincoln's election mostly freed the slaves.
  • The Union was known as the North, they didn't agree with what the south agreed with. The Union wanted to cut off the confederacy's factories that way they wouldn't be able to trade. The Union went to New Orleans and tried to take there supplies.
  • The union wants to cut the confederacy factories off so they can’t trade.
  • The Confederacy had no choice but to burn and destroy all of their supplies. They had to burn their supplies because they didn't want the Union getting to it and using it for their selves. The Union was like if we can't use our own supplies then they can't use ours.
  • When the Civil War ended slavery didn't really end it just wasn't happening as much. Slavery didn't end until the 13th Amendment in 1992. It states "Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction."
