- Tom Benecke in his living room with his wife Clare before she leaves for the movie. This the exposition because we're getting information about the characters and setting.
- He turns and sees a yellow piece of paper flying out the window.
- He climbs out and gets the paper that had months of work on it.
- Tom bends down to get the paper, then he realizes how high up he is. Then he starts to panic. Tom starts to fall as the window closes. At that moment he realizes he did nothing in life.
- He starts to think of ways to get back into his apartment and starts loosing hope after attempting multiple things to get help. Then finally he put his hand in his jacket and punched through the glass
