We went back to our burnt home to go through things that we wanted, I didn't find anything sense most all was burnt to crisps. My mother was sad about loosing her things, especially the pictures. I didn't want to keep anything, or at least anything that survived. On our way to they car I spotted an amazing egg on the stairs, it was so beautiful it had red and it also had gay and green and also had some type of gold color. And I grabbed it and brought it back with me to grandmas farm.
In the car I examined the egg and try to figure out what it was, but I did not know. I didn't want to crack it so I just left it alone after. When we arrived to grandmas, she welcomed us and said "I'm not surprised, did.t I tell you." meaning that daddy wasn't with us. But she andMama didn't fight about it. I left the egg in the jecket in the dresser which I had shared with Mama but she never saw it and it never began to stink.
One day I had a friend over and we were doing homework up in my room. It was one of those cold evenings and the windows were closed but it was still bright outside. "Look your egg, it's hatching!" I didn't notice anything different since it has had that red crack in the middle the whole time, but I put my finger on the crack and it was as if i felt a pulse. My friend had left after that, later Nicky came up stairs when my egg was hatching and we were brain storming what could it could have been.
When it hatched it seemed to be a red and firey and gold bird, it was a Phoenix. It started flying around and then I scurried to the window and opened it up. Then he flew right out.
I heard a knock on the door right after the bird had left. I opened the door to see my dad saying that he has gotten a job and rented a house, in Pheonix. I didn't care about that I just was happy that my dad was home.
