Storyboard Text

  • Isabel was mournful about leaving her home country Cuba to go to Florida in the US. By leaving Cuba Isabel and her family were breaking a lot of transgressions set by Fidel Castro. The Castillos and Isabel's family were insensible about if they were going to make it to Florida, but Isabel is hopeful that they will make it the states.
  • Isabel and the others realized that the boat was submerging with water, and because of the boat filling with water everyone was very distraught and agitated. Also to mke matters worse the engine in the boat ran out is it was considered stagnant or inactive.
  • Out of no where Isabel, her family, and the Castillos could hear that a giantic tanker was comimg because it was very audible. Everyone jostled around and tried to get away from the tanker as fast as they could. Isabel that the tanker was trying to invade their boat, or try to send Isabel and the Castillos back to Cuba.
  • In spite of, the fact that Isabel and her family were able to dodge the tanker coming towards them, they also had a bigger problem on their hands. A giant storm was coming their way, and a giant wave crashed against the boat making everyone oblivious of what to do to stop it. Senor Castillo even fell listlessly in the water but Isabel managed to save him.
  • Everyone felt like the odyssey they were on was taking too long and because of this Isabel felt like they were never going to make it to Florida. Isabel felt like they were deserted in the middle of the ocean. Until, she exclaimed with great elation that she finally saw land.
  • Everyone including Isabel's father was happy that they finally found land. It still felt to Isabel at least that it was inevitabel for something like to actually happen to them. Isabel incoherently that it wasn't true, and Isabel was right about finding land. Turns out, that it was not Florida, but anyway the people would not let immgrates in and that is what they were.
