"[There was] a little man who was stumping along eastward at a good walk and... a girl of maybe eight or ten who was running as hard as she was able down a cross street. [The] man trampled calmly over the child's body and left her screaming on the ground."
The man was threatened with a scandal after the girl's family arrived as he was planning to just walk away, but Mr. Enfield dragged him back and made him agree to pay the family 100 pounds.
"You will pay for this."
The group goes to the man's house to retrieve the 100 pounds owed. It was the very sinister looking house on the street.
