After 5th grade my parents told me that I would be leaving my school and my friends and going to Robinson. My sister had gone into freshman year there and she liked it but I was devastated by the news.
My life is ruined!
It'll be good for you. You will make all kinds of new friends.
We went on a tour of Robinson Junior High School and I still didn't feel any better about it. The school was so big and that made me nervous because I was coming from a school with a 5th grade class with a total of 8 people.
Mom, don't make me leave my school please!
We can't wait to have you attend here! See you in August!
The first day of school wasn't as bad as I expected but all we did was play games in the cafeteria. Now lunch was coming up and I didn't have anyone to sit with. I did make new friends and it all turned out good. I learned that sometimes you have to go through uncomfortable situations to make new friends and learn about yourself
In the end I am very happy that I moved schools when I did because it gave me the chance to start over. My 5th grade year was not the greatest and even though I didn't want to leave it was for the best.
Sure! That would be great! Thank you!
