Storyboard Text

  • Persephone had a wonderful life growing up in Mt. Olympus with her mother and the gods. Persephone grew up in beauty and Hades realized it so he decided to take her.
  • Very well, Demeter.
  • Zeus can you please get Hades to hand my daughter over to me?
  • One day when Persephone was collecting flowers from the meadow, all of a sudden the ground shook and Hades came out from the ground and grabbed her.
  • Hand her over, orders from Zeus.
  • Fine, very well.
  • Hades brought her back to the underworld and didnt realize that a few pigs fell into the ground as well. Persephone was miserable in the underworld and wanted her mother, Demeter.
  • Demeter had come to the meadow looking for Persephone but found no trace of her and she asked the farmer if he saw what happend. The farmer said that some of his pigs went missing as if they fell into the ground. Demeter than relized that Hades had taken her daughter. Demeter asked Zeus for her daugter to be returned.
  • Zeus sent Hermes to get Persephone. Hades had to respect Zeus's orders and turned her over. Hades realized that Persephone had eaten food from the dead and knew she had to return to the underworld. 
  • Persephone knew she had to return so she spent 6 months out of the yearvin the underworld because she ate 6 pomagrannet seeds. Persephone returned in the spring and stayed for the seasons spring and summer and returned to the underworld for the seasons winter and fall. Demeter refused to harvest anything until her daughter returned home, so she taught man kind how to farm and harvest.
