  • Constructed by the French in 1754 at the heart of the ​Ohio River Valley​, Fort Duquesne was an important landmark during the Seven Years’ War In 1758, an ​expedition​ led by General John Forbes finally succeeded in capturing Fort Duquesne, and Fort Pitt was established by the British on the site.

  • On September, 13, 1759, General Wolf and his army went to attack for the final time: Ile de Orleans. Wolf took his army in the middle of the night in small boats to go on top of the cliffs. The French were outnumbered and started to retreart Wolf got fatally injured and died French General Montcalm was also fatally injured and died the next day.

  • In 1764 the British introduced the sugar act forcing the colonists to import sugar and molasses exclusively from the British, and to pay duties on them.

  • In 1765 the British introduced the stamp act on the American colonies. The British taxed any product that had a stamp on it

  • The Townshend Act imposed an indirect tax on the Colonies by levying duties on various imported goods, including tea. The legislation also taxed paper, paint, lead and glass, which were not produced in the Colonies.

  • On March 5,1770 evening between patriots and British soldiers Started as a small argument, turned to massacre. 3 major things that caused it : Growing mistrust between british and patriots Their were not enough soldiers to keep peace ( patriots outnumbered them The townshend acts (patriots did not agree with them, and wanted to repeal it)
