Storyboard Text

  • Absolutely!
  • We need to secure the land from the Natives to expand our country!
  • The Natives sided with the British to defend against the Americans.
  • They fought three times against the Natives and the British, the first two the Americans lost..
  • But, on the third attempt, they were victorious.
  • After their victory, a treaty was created, called the Treaty of Greenville.
  • Treaty of Greenville
  • This treaty forced the Native Americans to give up (most of) modern day Ohio and Indiana.
  • Although the United States was victorious, they did not want to wipe the Native Americans completely from the country.
  • So, Native American Reserves were created, to preserve the Native American culture and people.
