  • The nun was a part of the clergy social class, she provided comfort and prayer for others. She has good manners but she was a concerned about her appearance and wore a veil, a coral trinket on her arm and a set of beads. She also worried about love, which is not "God like" .
  • The cook was a part of the middle class, he pitied himself for working tirelessly but took pride in his food. 
  • The manciple was part of the middle class, his job was to purchase clothing and food for a group of lawyers. He was uneducated, however he was considered smarter than the lawyers he fed. He is selfish and greedy, therefore not willing to give to the less fortunate.
