  • Copernicus
  • wait a minute.. the earth is rotating around the sun. the church is wrong!
  • Galileo
  • Heliocentric theory is not wrong!!! Its horrible that the church threatens to put me in house arrest, because i'm right.
  • Francis Bacon
  • I found proof using reasoning!
  • Copernicus questioned Ptolemy's theory of planetary motion, which is the geocentric theory. Copernicus had a theory called heliocentric. Heliocentric theory is that Earth and planets revolve around the Sun. Galileo offered support for the heliocentric theory with his experiments and his observation of space with use of the telescope.
  • Isaac Newton
  • Hey! were attracting earth, and it's attracting us back!
  • Galileo offered support for the heliocentric theory with his experiments concerning motion and his observation of space with use of the telescope. The church said that heliocentric theory was wrong. Galileo was put under house arrest by the church towards the end of his life because of his challenges. The Church’s arguments against Galileo and consequences they threatened.
  • church and science revolution conflicts
  • I AM PUTTING YOU ON HOUSE ARREST !!!
  • He established a systematic way to find proof using reason which is the scientific method. This was the logical procedure to test theories that included: Begin with a question, Form a hypothesis that is then tested through experimentation, analyze the data to reach a conclusion.
  • science revolution impacts
  • we love school !!
  • Newton’s laws of gravity furthered the laws of motion and continued the challenge of old theories. He built first reflecting telescope using mirrors. theory that the moon is falling due to the speed and gravity which makes it like tug of war so it orbits our planet. says we are attracted to earth and its attracting us back.
  • Scientists like Galileo were called to renounce or stop their teachings and reaffirm the teachings of the church or face excommunication. Galileo was put under house arrest by the church towards the end of his life because of his challenges. The Church’s arguments against Galileo and consequences they threatened.
  • Now because of the scientific revolution, we have school, and learn science and other subjects. We learn all of these due to evidence and reasoning.
