- I'm doing good Fortunato, Emily is talking with a few friends. Would you want to come try this new wine I got?

- There is a costume carnival in Italy. Many people are dressed up, having a nice time dancing, and drinking wine. Two very close friends are chatting about their favorite wines.

- My name is Fortunato and this is my story. I have a best-friend named Montresor. We have known each other since we have been little kids. I tend to insult him from time to time but, I don't really mean it. There is something that he doesn't know is that I am in love with his wife Emily and he doesn't deserve a wife like Emily. Emily and I have been having an affair for almost 4 years now, but I can't tell Montresor.
- Falling Action
- Please Montresor! The affair meant nothing it was an accident.
- Montresor invited to his vault to try his new that he got. Here is the thing every time I'm with Montresor I keep getting guilty about me and his wife so I think this should be a good time to tell him, but until then I am going to keep drinking the wine to ease the pain. I really hope he won't get to mad.
- Resolution w/ Theme & Situational Irony
- As we were walking further and further until we got into this small room where I thought were the wine was. As I slowly start to become sober I noticed right before I wanted to tell him that it was a trap. He was planning to leave me for dead.
- I cried and pleaded with him. I even tied to to tell him the truth to try and save my life, but it wasn't working. He was furious with me and would not believe a word that came out of my mouth even if it was the truth. I then realized this was my fate and I am going to die here.
- LIES! I WILL NEVER TRUST U AGAIN!
- I would've spent whatever time wondering how life could've been if I never had the affair and fell in love with Emily. I wish I was brave enough to stop it before anything else happened. I deserve this and my death will not rest in peace.
