  • FT Sumter was the first battle in the Civil War. It mainly consisted of the Confederacy bombarding the Union fort and marks the start of the War.

  • The first major battle of the War that was sparked by the Ft Sumter bombardment

  • Antietam is most known for having the most casualties in a day and being inconclusive. The purpose was to prevent Confederates from moving North.

  • Chancellorsville was won by Lee divided his troops into two divisions to attack the unprepared Union. The win gave Lee confidence that would be detrimental to him in Gettysburg
