This is the scene where brother ran back to get Doddle, but found Doddle in not so good condition(fragile, thin). When Brother was screaming ''Doodle!'' and began to weep to show sadness and distress.
The author used words or pharse to describe the way the storming was coming ''sharply'', ''pounding'', ''lighting was playing aross the sky'' to set the idea of the storm.
The imagery used in this scene to describe ''the White gleaming house and the Pale fence across the yard'' sitting up staright. Shows good imagery of house/setting in the beginning of the story.
The symoblism in the story is the Scarlet Ibis. The scarlet Ibis came for a long way and ended up at Doodle house died , and Aunt Nicey said to Doodle ''Dead birds is bad luck, speacilly red dead birds'' , its telling us that the Scarlet Ibis is bad luck.
The Theme of the story is not to control or push people on things what you want to ,or what they dont want to do. Do not let pride take over you and the people you love and care about.
