- Lyddie is forced to protect her family and her house when a bear(nature) breaks into her house.
- Lyddie is questioning herself, she is wondering if she should go meet charlie again or save herself the embarrassment and leave him alone.
- As soon as Lyddie arrives at her new workplace she is already met with rude comments by the mistress of the tavern.
