  • Debate Topic For: Banning Zoos
  • Debate Topic Against: Banning Zoos
  • Where I stand: Not banning Zoos
  • Although zoos are where childhood memories are born, they affect animals even more. Without being able to roam free and hunt, these animals lose their hunting instincts. It is proven that animals become bigger and fatter dude to the fact they don't run because of their tight situations. We as humans have to respect that wild animals deserve to be in the WILD. These animals have to adapt in their new environments. For example, in Miami Florida, one of the hottest cities in the United States, Houses over 4 polar bears outside. This is insane, Polar bears have to be in environments 28 degrees Fahrenheit or colder. This is not healthy for the polar bears being in 95% humidity. This is why we should ban zoos.
  • Zoos are not only places where you have fun, but you make memories too. Zoos are places that full of discovery and adventure. With 75% of the animals in the zoo being non-native species, these places with probably be the only place you will see a lion or a tiger. Banning zoos will not only break the hearts of many young and adventurous children , but it will stunt the growth of imagination. These places also gather lots of money that can be used to not only maintain but to give better care to the animals. Zoos are too precious to us too ban them.
  • From my point zoos shouldn't be banned, but that shouldn't mean I like the way that they are treated. Zoos all over the world have not only mistreated them but took them out of there natural environments. They should give these majestic creatures some credit, they have to adapt to there new home and environment. With these animals I can see the animals you don't see every day. GO ZOOS!!!
