“O Romeo, Romeo, brave Mercutio’s dead! That gallant spirit hath aspir’d the clouds, which too untimely here did scorn the Earth.”
Tybalt meets Mercutio and Benvolio on the streets. Tybalt tells Mercutio that he wants to see Romeo. Romeo arrives and starts getting yelled at by Tybalt. Mercutio gets mad at Tybalt and challenges him to a fight, they both fight.
“Now Tybalt, take the ‘villian’ back again”
“Romeo, away, be gone! The citizens are up, and Tybalt slain.”
Romeo tells Benvolio to stop the fight. Mercutio gets stabbed my Tybalt and Tybalt flees. Mercutio knows he will die from the wound.
“Romeo slew him; he slew Mercutio: Who now the price of his dear blood doth owe?”
“And for that offence immediately we do exile him”
“His fault concludes but what the law should end, the life of Tybalt.”
Benvolio takes Mercutio to find a way to aid him. He comes back and announces to Romeo that Mercutio is dead.
“Is Romeo slaughter’d, and is Tybalt dead?”
“Tybalt is gone, and Romeo banished”
“Alack the day! -he’s gone, he’s kill’d, he’s dead!”
Tybalt comes back. Romeo is frustrated and upset about Tybalt killing Mercutio. They both fight and Romeo kills Tybalt.
Romeo runs away and the townspeople arrive. Benvolio explains the situation to the Prince. The Prince decides to banish Romeo from Verona
The nurse explains to Juliet what has happened to Tybalt and Romeo.
